Hello AED members!
As you prepare for Fall break, please keep these updates in mind:
General Meeting Updates:
Our General Meeting #4 will be this Wednesday, November 13th at 8pm at the SSA Auditorium. We will be having a student panel where you will be hearing from current health professional students about their journey, and you will be given the opportunity to ask them questions. Also shirts will be distributed after the meeting. Please make sure you attend the meeting to pick up your shirts!
The upcoming fundraiser is at Chipotle this Tuesday (TOMORROW) November 12th from 5:00 PM–9:00 PM at 283 W. Campbell Rd, Richardson, TX 75080. The flier for the event is attached. Please be sure to show the flier at checkout so AED can get the fundraising. You must spend a minimum of $5 to get your fundraising credit. Please email a picture of your receipt with name and net ID on the receipt to email@example.com within two weeks of the event to get credit for the fundraiser.
Risk Management Certification:
Every year, AED members must be trained for Risk Management, so please review the attached PowerPoint. You will be asked to sign in a form at the meeting indicating you have reviewed the PowerPoint.
Clinical Service Updates:
We are currently working on an exciting clinical opportunity for AED members to volunteer at a clinic, Julia’s Center. This clinic offers medical services to the uninsured in the Collin County. Although we are still setting up this volunteer opportunity, we would like to gauge the amount of students interested so we can reflect this when requesting volunteer spots. Please fill this form out if this is an opportunity you would be interested in applying: . If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org.
You don’t want to miss out on our Personal Statement Workshop on Tuesday, November 19th from 7:00–8:30 pm with guest speaker Dr.Wendy Harpham.
